MENO:Pause + Connect Support Cafe with Melanie Glass at GULP

“Perimenopausal or menopausal and feeling like you’re falling apart? Don’t really understand what’s going on and how to deal with it? Feeling unsupported by your GP, family or friends? Wish there was someone who would listen, support and provide you with a space to share - or just sit quietly? Then why not try one of our menopause cafes?

Our menopause cafes provide a relaxed, informal and confidential space for you, regardless of gender or age, to come and discuss menopause.

Our aim is to not only offer a space for honest conversations, but also to create a sense of community. This is not about fixing, but listening.

The menopause cafes are the first step in our aim to create holistic menopause hubs across the region, offering a range of both in-person and online support to those who would benefit from it.

As part of the meaningful research we are undertaking around what holistic menopause provision could look like within Birmingham and the West Midlands, we will also be asking you to participate in a confidential survey.

My name is Melanie Glass and I am the founder of Devenish health CIC - the new trading name for a multi-award winning social enterprise established in 2014. I am a Licensed menopause champion, working in partnership with the Menopause expert group, and also an accredited menopause wellness practitioner.

I educate, equip, and empower menopausal women to navigate the hormonal changes they are experiencing by offering a range of holistic menopause services, both in person and online throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands.

My work is driven by my own ongoing experience of menopause, the lack of knowledge I had on it and the learning I have undertaken to not only equip, educate and empower myself, but also those I work with. I am passionate about ensuring no woman faces their menopause journey alone, but has access to all the information and support they need to navigate their own individual journey.

Why not join us to connect, ask questions, share experiences with others who truly get it, and listen - without trying to fix each other?”
